MODEL 850 Investigator’s Aid
For Detection of Hydrocarbons, Petroleum Volatiles and Gas

Model 850 a Hydrocarbon, Accelelerant and Gas Detector that incorporates
advanced visual indication by way of meter readout, followed by a series of beep tones in synchronized with to red LED indicator lights.

Model 850 Has a Hi-Low Range Switch which will change the sensitivity of the unit, permits meter indication in areas of high concentration. Aids in pinpointing hydrocarbon source.

A Solid State Sensor is a plug-in type housed in a protective cone mounted at the tip of a telescopic-
probe (18” retracted 46” extended), providing a reasonable distance from suspect toxic material.

Model 850 Features two modes of
operation: 1. High sensitivity search mode for locating very small gas leaks
and calibrated mode of operation that indicates 0% of the lower explosive limit (LEL), methane used as the test gas.

2. General purpose survey tool while walking an area of concern (use like a walking cane). This is useful as a survey tool for detecting leaking underground storage tanks (LUST) or gasoline leaks that have seeped into sewer lines.
