System Components and Applications

|
The DMR-200 Satellite Terminal
This device uses worldwide satellite communications to provide notification to your location when one or more persons in a remote environment is in distress. The unit can be permanently mounted on vehicles or can be magnet mounted, allowing the unit to be easily transferred from one behicle to another. The DMR-200 receives distress signals via the Grace MR-900 or MX-900, and forwards these distress signals via satellite.

|
MR-900 Receiver
The MR-900 is a small one-way signaling receiver which is mounted in the vehicle and receives the distress signals from Grace telemetric distress alarms. Using either contact closure or RS-232 data, the distress alarm is relayed via the satellite or cellular (where coverage is available) terminal to the location selected by the end user. The unit is small and compact in size (measuring 2.0” x 3.0” x 0.75” and can be easily mounted inside the cab of a vehicle. The MR-900 can be permanently mounted in the vehicle, or Velcro mounted to allow the unit to be easily transferred from one vehicle to another.

MX-900 Transceiver
The MR-900 is a small two-way signaling transceiver which is mounted in the vehicle and receives the distress signals from Grace telemetric distress alarms. Using either contact closure or RS-232 data, the distress alarm is relayed via the satellite or cellular (where coverage is available) terminal to the location selected by the end user. The MX-900 is 2-way signaling allowing the user to verify in-range status and receive acknowledgment or emergency alert messages. Small and compact in size (measuring 2.0” x 3.0” x 0.75” and can be easily mounted inside the cab of a vehicle. The MR-900 can be permanently mounted in the vehicle, or Velcro mounted to allow the unit to be easily transferred from one vehicle to another.

SuperCell Model SC250
The SuperCell model SC250 is a small pager-sized transceiver device that provides powerful emergency signaling and monitoring. SuperCell SC250 features a 32 character LCD display and a high performance radio transceiver that allows 2-way signaling between the Grace MX-900 and other SuperCell SC250's. Standard features include audible, visual and vibrating alert modes. The units’ LCD can show the name, ID number or location for an emergency distress signal received. A memory database contained in the SC250 is capable of monitoring signals of up to several thousand units and also supports sending and receiving canned text messages. A panic button located on top of the unit can transmit an emergency distress signal which can be received by other SuperCells the MX-900, or the MR-900. This model also features a rechargeable lithium battery, belt clip and uses Grace’s proprietary Smart-Signal radio technology for superior system performance. A PC software package and infrared adaptor is available for programming and managing the user name database, canned messages and the unit’s firmware.

LTX-200
The LTX200 is a transmitting Motion-Sensing Man-Down alarm device that is third party certified Intrinsically Safe device under Industry-Canada and CSA requirements. The LTX-200 has a limited receive capability only for the purpose of programming a new ID in to the unit. The unit is a member of the TPASS-3 product family, but functions without receive capability and no smart signal repeating. The receiver on this device is temporarily active for a 15 second period following the pressing of both side buttons simultaneously, or when the device is first turned on (either key is removed or manual button turn on). After 15 seconds the receiver shuts down and the unit is not capable receiving programming messages. This is the ideal choice for a one-way signaling solution in Canada. Note, all other RF programmable features are active during the 15 seconds the receiver is enabled, so that any other custom options such as polling modes can be set during this time.

AirLink PinPoint Cellular Modem Terminal
The PinPoint Modem is the ideal choice where adequate cellular coverage is available. By blending always-on 1XRTT high-speed data with an integrated GPS receiver, the PinPoint provides scaleable mobile data solutions for the enterprise. Its serial and digital interfaces enable other applications to communicate over CDMA/1XRTT networks. Examples include public safety, field force automation, credit-card processing, and advanced telematics. This would also allow for integration with the Grace Industries MR900 to provide early notification of workers in distress.
